NASHUA TRANSIT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Description:
The Committee shall be responsible for making recommendations to the Mayor regarding operation of the City's transit system (including the fixed-route bus transportation program and the handicapped person/dial-a-ride program, but excluding school buses) and general transit functions. [NRO 12-5] The Committee shall consist of five members selected as set forth herein, who shall serve for terms of three years and shall serve without compensation. The Committee shall consist of: the Director of the City's Community Development Division; a member of the Board of Aldermen, to be appointed by the President of the Board of Aldermen; a senior citizen representative, to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Aldermen; a representative of the private sector or business community, to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Aldermen; and a citizen member to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board of Aldermen.
