Description:Said board shall have control of and attend to all matters and perform all duties relating to public health, and shall perform such special duties as may be imposed upon them by ordinance or by the general statutes of the state. [Ch. 79] The board of health may make such rules and regulations relating to plumbing, sanitation and drainage of buildings and connection with public sewers, as in their judgment the health and safety of the occupants or the public may require. They may also make such rules and regulations relating to the public health as in their judgment the public health and safety may require. All such rules and regulations shall be subjected to the action of the board of aldermen approving the same. [Ch. 81]
